This week was Nativity week! We enjoyed dressing up and performing ‘Our First Nativity’. In the classroom we covered words ending with -s and tricky words we, me and be. In Maths we have been subitising, recognising numerals, matching quantities to numerals and playing games using giant dice. In other areas we have been thinking about different types of puppets
Over the past three weeks, the children have created a sunset and winter tree silhouette. They first painted a graduated sunset background and then added hills and mountains before adding a silhouette of a bare, winter tree.
Thank you to all of the budding artists who have joined in this year’s Go Ape competition! We have seen some lovely skills shown in the wonderful Christmas card designs. Round 3 of this year’s girls’ football tournament and they were on fire in freezing conditions! Lots of excitement going into this round. In the first game it was the rematch against Courthouse Green, this time we managed to win 3-0! A great start to the competition. The next game was against Stoke, another brilliant team performance saw us again
It was the return of our favourite event…. Sportshall Athletics! All the children in Years 5&6 have been working very hard in their PE lessons and lunchtime clubs to set their personal bests in each event. In the athletics competition there are running events- obstacle, over/under and relay races. Jumping- Long, Triple, Vertical and Speed Bounce. Throwing- Chest Push and
On Thursday 7th December, it was Christmas Jumper Day. We enjoyed seeing everyone in their wonderful jumpers, thank you to everyone who participated and donated!
2C were challenged to paint a composition using a given template where they had to first mix three secondary colours and then paint using both primary and secondary colours to complete their work. They tried hard to place colours next to each other which looked pleasing to the eye.
We have had the BEST time rehearsing for the Christmas play and we thought you would like to see these photographs of the children in their costumes.
