This half term the year 6 children have been working on their Static balance and their coordination.
Year 6 enjoyed thinking scientifically when they investigated shadows. They spent time in the playground looking at how shadows are formed, and in the classroom conducted experiments to show how we could make them bigger and smaller.

In maths this week, we learnt how to sort 2D shapes into different categories such as; 4 sides or less than 4 sides, yellow shapes or red shapes and vertices or no vertices.
WEEK 1: We made melted snowmen cookies! First, we mixed some icing sugar for the melted snow. Next, we stuck a marshmallow on top for the snowman’s head. Then, we decorated the snowmen to bring them to life. Finally, we enjoyed eating them!
This week the Nursery children have been learning about all things cold and frosty in our mini project ‘Winter Wonderland’. We learned a new snowman exercise dance called ‘Snowman Freeze’ and used sponges cut into circles, triangles, oblongs and squares to print our own snowmen.
