WEEK 3: We made toasted sandwiches. Firstly, we buttered the bread to stop the bread sticking to the special toasted sandwich machine (and to make to bread nice and crispy on the outside). Next, we put our fillings on the top slice (cheese/pepperoni). Then, we put the bottom slice over the filling and put it in the machine to toast.

This week we have learnt the phonemes v, w, x, and y and tricky words and, has, his and her. In Maths we looked at part and whole of numbers. We also looked at capacity using boxes and toys. We have been mixing primary colours to find out what happens. We used rollers and paint brushes to produce our art work!
It has been great getting the Year 5/6 boys football season going although every game has been either raining or the game played on a boggy pitch. Two games for the team so far, the first was away to Stivichall. A tough first game with Ernesford leading 1-0 for the majority of the match, thankfully a mad couple of minutes
Children in year 1 have been learning about the colour wheel. They have mixed the three primary colours together to make secondary colours. They then created art work by using different textured rollers, and folding painted paper in half.
Children in this group have been using iPads to create digital media. We had fun taking photos using various filters. Then we created movies using these photos. We investigated adding music and sound fx to our movies, and also added titles and effects.
