Year 4 have enjoyed getting into the Anglo-Saxon spirit by practising their weaving. Here are some in-action shots and final pieces!
We spent the last hour of our Friday afternoon enjoying games of table tennis and basketball. A competitive rowing tournament commenced which we will continue over the next few weeks. It was great to see the older children encouraging the younger members of our club.
This week Nursery have made a wonderful start to our new project ‘Once Upon a Time’. We listened to ‘The Gingerbread Man’ and loved joining in with the refrain, ‘Run, run as fast as you can, you can’t catch me, I’m the gingerbread man’! They also did some wonderful colouring and we played some gingerbread men counting games. We talked

WEEK 2: We made fruit kebabs. We chose from lots of different fruits like; banana, grapes, apple, mango and pineapple. Then we drizzled milk and/or white chocolate on top!
WEEK 1: We made pizzas using small tortillas, tomato puree, cheese and/or ham. We even turned our second pizzas into quesadillas by folding them over. Can you tell from our smiley faces that we really enjoyed making these?!
The children in the Forest school skills academy club enjoyed leaf printing. They created their own symmetrical designs by hammering leaves onto the fabric. We then went to the vegetable patch and found some enormous carrots!
Year 2 have been thinking about how important it is to treat with kindness and respect. We have also reminded the children that they must tell a trusted adult if they have been upset. To spread the message, they made posters and wore odd socks!
Year 1 forest school enjoyed leaf printing. We talked about how it works and they made some fantastic flags with their printed material.
