Year 3 have been working hard to improve their skills of reading an analogue and digital clock as well as answering questions about duration, start times and end times and recognising Roman numerals. Adding dance moves and a song helped us with our quick recall.

The Year 3/4 girls football team played in their last tournament. A brilliant year for the girls with the confidence and teamwork improving throughout. A very difficult group which saw them lose their opening 2 games but then bounced back to win their final 2 games. Well done to all the girls that have been involved this year.
It was brilliant to see the Gymnastics competitions back at school. The children worked so hard in their PE lessons and clubs to be chosen to represent the school at the brilliant Tribe Centre. The children were taught a floor and vault routine that was scored as we competed against the other schools in Coventry East. The Year 3 team
Year 3 are thoroughly enjoying their forest school lessons with Mrs Slater. They have been busy learning new skills whilst improving their teamwork.
On 8th March, our girls took part in the countrywide celebration of #thisgirlcan by playing football with each other. They shared their skills, discussed tactics and had a lot of fun!
This week we staring our design and technology topic ‘Making it Move’ and experimented with levers and split pins.
Year 3 have been busy this week learning about fractions. We ended the week by taking our knowledge of ordering fractions to the playground. A little competition indicated what we have learnt and what we need to work on next week.

The children have practised their skills using chime bars to accompany songs and the first few chords on the ukulele.
Year 3 had a special visitor this week. Dr Watson from the Ogden Trust came to talk to us about forces and magnets. The children carried out a variety of investigations and expanded their scientific knowledge. A highlight of the morning for the children (and teachers) was getting to have a go on a hover board.
