We had a great time visiting the Lunt Roman Fort in Baginton. The children learned lots of new facts about the Romans and how and why the Fort was built. A huge thank you to Mr Hancock and Mr Burgess for organising a fantastic sports day for year 3. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we were proud of their resilience and teamwork. Thank you to all the parents who were able to support the event.
We had such a great trip and learnt a lot of new facts. We also got the chance to battle with one another.
As you can see from the photos, a lot of fun was had by all!
Year 3 went on a maths treasure hunt this week. We are consolidating our mathematical knowledge and skills whilst having a lot of fun. Resilience and perseverance was required for this task as the children quickly realised that if they got one answer wrong, their path to the treasure was put at risk.
Year 3 and 4 enjoyed a run around the field to celebrate National Sports Week. Some children ran, some jogged and some walked but we were proud of everyone for their efforts.
Year 3 have been learning about the importance of the battle between Boudicca, the queen of the Celtic Iceni tribe, and the Romans. After our research, the children created their own posters and then presented them to their friends.

As part of our topic about the Romans, we had a special visit from Felix, a Roman citizen. He shared the myth of Romulus and Remus and how the city of Rome got its name.
