Each week Ms Rowe has given us a different building challenge. We have used Kapla, pegs and lolly pop sticks, Lego, Meccano, playing cards and plastic, small chairs to build with.

Year 2 had great success at following a graphic score. The graphic score was in three sections and told the story of a boat at sea sailing through calm waters, a storm and then returning to calm. Each group had to play several instruments and follow their line of music to create a brilliant composition. Well done Year 2!
The theme this week has been ‘stories and rhymes’ which has meant we’ve had an enjoyable end to the half term.The week started with the ‘Gingerbread Man’ story and a letter with a recipe attached. The children had fun testing their buggies inside and outside on different surfaces. They talked about the material of the surface and what it felt like.
This week the children have been investigating ice and learning about freezing and melting. They thought of words to describe the ice as they explored how it felt and looked at it close up using the magnifying glasses. It was the return of the speed stacking competition after last years success. All the children have had the chance to learn and then try and beat their personal best in their PE lessons.
