Year 3 and 4 enjoyed a run around the field to celebrate National Sports Week. Some children ran, some jogged and some walked but we were proud of everyone for their efforts.

Year 3 have been learning about the importance of the battle between Boudicca, the queen of the Celtic Iceni tribe, and the Romans. After our research, the children created their own posters and then presented them to their friends.

As part of our topic about the Romans, we had a special visit from Felix, a Roman citizen. He shared the myth of Romulus and Remus and how the city of Rome got its name.

The second group started their forest school sessions this week. As you can see from the photos, they had a great time learning how to weave.
We were invited to Willenhall to have a mixed Year 3&4 football match. With Year 4 having 3 games cancelled this school year, they were desperate to play and show their skills. In Year 3 we have been making 3-D shapes. We had great fun building our shapes such as cubes, square based pyramids and triangular prisms. We constructed our shapes using art straws, plasticine and multilink cubes. Which ones do you recognise?
This week, year 3 have been learning about the life cycle of a plant and created some informative posters. We also brought the process of pollination to life by acting it out.
